Free Crochet Patterns - Egg Snuggie

Materials: Light weight yarn scraps ( about 1/2 ounce). Crochet hook size E. Plastic or styrofoam eggs.

Abbreviations: ch = chain; sc = single crochet; sl st = slip stitch.

Instruction: For each egg, chain 3, sl st in first ch to form ring.

Rnd 1: 5 sc in ring.

Rnd 2 and 3: 2 sc in each sc around - 20 sc.

Rnd 4: 1 sc in each sc around.

Rnd 5: * 1 sc in 1 sc, 2 sc in next sc, rep from * around - 30 sc.

Rnds 6 - 15: 1 sc in each sc around. Insert egg and cont. to work around egg.

Rnd 16: * 1 sc in each first 5 sc, skip 1 sc, rep from * 4 times more around.

Rnds 17 and 18: 1 sc in each sc around.

Rnd 19 and following rounds: * 1 sc, skip 1 sc, rep from * until no sts remain. Sl st in last st, break yarn and fasten off. Slip yarn end inside.

Make as many egg snuggies as you like in different colors.
