Materials: Columbia-Minerva Wool, 4-Ply Worsted (4 oz. pull skein); Color A (Dk. Brown) 5 skeins; Color B (Rust) 5 skeins; Color C (Gold) 7 skeins. OR: Nantuk 4-Ply (4 oz pull skein) Color A (Dk. Brown) 5 skeins; Color B (Rust) 5 skeins; Color C (Gold) 7 skeins. One "Boye" crochet hook Size I.

Gauge: 4 patterns to 4 1/2 inches.

Note: When changing colors, always work off last 2 loops at end of rows with the color to be used on following row. With A - ch 162.

Row 1-Right side: 1 dc in 4th ch from hook and in each of next 2 ch, * ch 1, skip 1 ch, 1 dc in each of next 3 ch, repeat from * across, ending work off last 2 loops of last dc with B-ch 4, turn.

Row 2: * With B-3 dc in skipped st on foundation chain, ch 1, repeat from * across, end 1 dc in last dc, with C-ch 2, turn-39 petals.

Row 3: * 3 dc in center dc of petal 2 rows below, ch 1, repeat from * across, end 1 dc in turning ch, with A-ch 4, turn-40 petals.

Row 4: * 3 dc in center dc of petal 2 rows below, ch 1, repeat from * across, end 1 dc in turning ch, with B-ch 2, turn.

Row 5: Repeat Row 3, with C- ch 4, turn.

Row 6: Repeat Row 4, with A- eh 2, turn.

Row 7: Repeat Row 3, with B- ch 4, turn.

Row 8: Repeat Row 4, with C- ch 2, turn.

Repeat Rows 3 through 8 for pat, working to about 60 inches, end with Row 3 with Color C. Next row with A-ch 2, 1 sc in center dc of petal one row below, * 3 dc in center dc of petal 2 rows below, 1 sc in center dc of petal one row below, repeat from * across, end sl st in turning ch. Break off all colors.

Border: With B-on right side crochet 4 rows of sc around with 3 sc in each corner to keep work flat. Fasten off.
