Crochet Patterns - Snowflake Doily

Doily measures 5" in diameter.

Materials: Crochet cotton thread size 30: 1 ball white or color of choice; steel crochet hook size 10.

Starting at center, ch 8, join with sl st to form ring.

1st rnd: 16 sc in ring, join with sl st.

2nd rnd: Sc in same place as sl st, * ch 8, 3 dc in 4th ch from hook, ch 4, sc in 4th ch from hook (picot made), 3 dc in same ch as last 3 dc, ch 3, sl st in same ch, ch 4, skip 1 sc, sc in next sc. Repeat from * around. Join and break off.

3rd rnd: Attach thread to any picot, sc in same picot, * ch 9, sc in next picot. Repeat from * around, join.

4th rnd: Sl st in next ch, sc in same ch, * ch 3, skip 1 ch, sc in next ch. Repeat from * around, ending with ch 1, half dc in first sc.

5th and 6th rnds: * Ch 3, sc in next loop. Repeat from * around, ending with ch 1, half dc in half dc.

7th rnd: * Ch 4, sc in next loop. Repeat from * around, ending with ch 1, dc in half dc.

8th rnd: Sl st in loop just completed, ch 4, tr in next loop, * ch 6, holding back on hook the last loop of each tr make tr in next 2 loops, thread over and draw through all loops on hook. Repeat from * around, join.

9th rnd: Ch 1, sc in same place as sl st, * ch 4, at tip of next 2 tr make (tr, ch 1) 5 times and tr; ch 4, sc in tip of next 2 tr. Repeat from * around, join.

10th rnd: Ch 1, sc in same place as sl st, * (ch 4, sc in next ch-1 sp) 5 times; ch 4, sc in next sc. Repeat form * around. Join and break off.
