DecoArt American Acrylic Paint: Buttermill; Asphaltum; Burgundy Wine; DeLane's
Deep Shadow; Oxblood; Lamp Black.
Brushes:
Lowew-Cornell "American Painter" Taklon 1" Wash 4550; 3/4"
Angular 4400; 3 Round 4000
Supplies:
5/8" plywood; homespun, artificial pine; Black
- Sharpie fine tip permanent marker; Fancy Fiber (natural); Old brush fro dry
brushing; new pencil eraser (to dot eyes); 18 gauge black wire; raffia
(natural); tracing and graphite paper; wood glue; hot glue; wire cutters; 100
grit sandpaper; drill and 1/16" drill bit; 5/8" staples and staple
gun; Minwax wood stain (early American).

Cutting
Instructions: Trace design onto tracing paper, transfer to wood using
graphite paper. Cut all pieces from 5/8" plywood. Sand smooth and wipe with
a damp cloth. Stain the backs of all pieces. Transfer details as needed for
painting.
Painting
Instructions: Base bunny and paw Light Buttermilk. Base nose with a 1/2 and
1/2 mix of Buttermilk and Burgundy Wine. Base carrot DeLane's Deep Shadow.
Painting
Details: Shade bunny and paw Asphaltum. Shade nose Burgundy Wine. Shade
carrot Oxblood. Blush cheeks with stencil brush, 1/2 and 1/2 mix of Buttermilk
and Burgundy Wine. Dot eyes Lamp Black. Letter with marker and dot Lamp Black. Assembly:
Drill holes. Cut wire, 24" long, insert into holes, for hanger, curl
ends. Hot glue and staple pine pieces to carrot end. Wood glue paw to carrot and
carrot to bunny face. Cut a few strands of Fancy Fiber 8" long for
whiskers, wood glue them under nose. Attach nose to bunny face. Tie a raffia bow
to end of carrot. Cut 2 strips of homespun 2" x 24" tie bow and hot
glue to bunny face. Hang and Enjoy! Note:
