Crafts For Kids - Checkerboard

What you need: 1 piece of plywood cut (square) to size you want; Felt in two different colors; Paint (enough to cover the top of the plywood); Paint: small amount in two colors (same as colors of felt); Bag of round wooden discs (available at craft supply stores).

What to do:

1. Cover top of plywood with 1 or two coats of paint, (color of choice). Allow each coat to dry completely.

2. Cut 64 squares of felt, 32 of each color. Be sure they are all the same size and will fit on the plywood size you have decided on.

3. Use the two colors of paint that you have decided on to paint 24 wooden discs. 12 of each color. Allow to dry.
