Materials: Baby Yarn (50 gm. balls) --6 balls White; Knitting Needles Size 6 [44¼ mm] or size to give gauge.

Gauge: Stockinette St--6 1/2 sts 1'', 8 1/2 rows= 1"

Finished Measurements: 48" x 48". Blanket is made of 4 triangles sewn tog, plus border.

Triangle: Cast on 1 st.

Row 1: Row 1: Yo, K 1.

Row 2: Row 2: Yo, K 2.

Row 3: Row 3: Yo, K to end.

Row 4: Row 4: Yo, K 1, P to last st, K 1, -5 sts.

Rows 5-18: Rows 5-18: Rep Rows 3 and 4 seven times--19 sts.

Row 20, 22: Row 20, 22: Yo, K 1, P to last st, K 1.

Row 28: Yo, K 1, P 8, * K 1, P 7; rep from * to last 3 sts, P 2, K 1.

Row 30: Yo, k 1, P to last st, k 1.

Row 31: Yo, K to end.

Row 34: Yo, K 1, P to last st, K 1.

Rep Rows 19-34 until piece measures approx. 21 1/2" down center, end Row 33. Note: Sections bet * to * on Rows 19, 23 and 25 are worked twice more on every repeat. Bind off loosely in K. Make 3 more triangles in same manner.

Border: Cast on 15 sts very loosely.

Row 1: K 2, (K 2 tog, yo, K 1 ) twice, K 1, yo, K to last 3 sts, yo, sL1K, K 1, psso, K 1.

Row 2: K 4, P to last 2 sts, K 2.

Rows 3-14: Rep Rows 1 and 2 six times--22 sts.

Row 15: K 2, (K 2 tog, yo, K 1 ) twice, K 1, yo, K 3 tog, K to last 3 sts, yo, sL1 K, K 1, psso, K 1.

Row 16: K 4, P to last 2 sts, K 2.

Rows 17-28: Rep Rows 15 and 16 six times--15 sts.

Rep rows 1-28 until piece fits around entire blanket, having 1 complete rep at ea corner, end row 28. Bind off very loosely.

Finishing: Sew shaped edges of triangles tog by loosely sewing the loops made by yo's. Sew ends of border together, then sew straight edge to blanket, easing in 1 rep at ea corner. Press lightly.
