Christmas Knitting Patterns - Wreath Kindly contributed by: Deborah Mason With 12 inch circular or double pointed needles, cast on 56 stitches. Work in the following pattern until the tube measures the length of the circumference of the size wreath you want. I worked 30 pattern repeats. Pattern rows 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, and 8: knit When you have the length you want, bind off. You may alternate patterns done in red with patterns done in white. Put something inside this tube to make it hold the shape of a circle. You could stuff it, or do what I did. I used five loops of electrical wire. Once you get something inside the cabled snake, sew the cast on and bound off edges together. For The Bow Cast on 15 stitches with white yarn. Use this long strip as a bow. Tie it around the wreath, and make a bow at the top. |
