What you need: 1- Wood framed slate board; 1 piece of chalk; 1 yd "America's Ribbon™", 7/8" wide (Ribbon strip should read "God Bless America); 1 pkg. Darice® Craftwood (Assorted Size Stars); hot glue gun and glue sticks; Delta® Ceramcoat Acrylic paints (in Blueberry & White); 1- #4 flat paint brush; 1 to 2 feet of household string or twine.
What to do:
1. Measure and cut ribbon to fit around front frame of message board as shown in photo. Be sure to align ribbon so the phrase "God Bless America" is centered on front top and bottom. Glue ribbon in place and trim any overlapping ends. Allow to dry.
2. Select 4 medium sized stars and 4 smaller sized stars. With #4 flat paint brush, paint the larger sized stars blue (Blueberry) and paint the smaller sized stars White. Allow to dry completely.
3. When stars are dry, center the small stars over the larger (Blue) stars and glue in place. Glue the combined set of four stars, one to each corner as shown in photo above.
4. Glue one end of the string to the right back, bottom corner of wood frame. Tie the piece of chalk to the other end of string.
