Free Quilting Patterns - Bandana Quilt

Size: About 72" by
96".
Materials: Bandanas about 24" square, 6
red, 6 blue. 36" wide bandana print fabric, 5 1/2 yards.
Sewing thread. Cotton batting or Dacron wadding. Small amount white crochet
cotton.

1. Stitch bandanas together, alternating colors, making
three strips of four bandanas each. Sew the strips
together side by side.
2. Cut and piece the fabric to fit the quilt. Place fabric and quilt
with right sides together and stitch together around the four sides, leaving a small opening for turning.
3. Place cotton batting all over quilt, piecing as necessary. Baste in place, being careful not to go through
other side. Turn quilt right side out and slipstitch opening closed.
4. Anchor cotton batting in place by making a tie in the center of each
bandana with crochet cotton. To anchor still more, work a row of running
stitches around outer edge of quilt.
