Cooking Recipes - Quick Mincemeat
Ingredients: 1/2 pound (1 cup) ground
beef; 1 cup water; 1 teaspoon salt; 3 Cups ground apples; 1 cup ground raisins;
1 lemon ground (rind and
pulp); 1 orange ground (rind and
pulp); 1 cup sugar; 1 Cup vinegar; 1/2 Cup corn syrup; 1 tablespoon cinnamon; 1 teaspoon cloves;
1 teaspoon allspice; 1 teaspoon nutmeg.
Directions: Simmer ground beef, water and salt until meat
is cooked. Then add all other ingredients and simmer over low heat for 45
minutes. This makes about two quarts. It may be canned, frozen or used at once
in pies. Makes two large or three small pies.
