With ball and shuttle threads: R of 3 ds, 5 p sep by 3 ds, 3 ds,
cl r. * Rw,
ch of 1 ds, 5 p sep by 1 ds, 1 ds. Rw, r of 3 ds, join to last p of previous
r, 3 ds, join to next p of same r, 3 ds, 3 p sep by 3 ds, 3 ds, cl r. Repeat
from * across for length desired. Tie and cut.
Heading: Tie ball
and shuttle threads together and join to center p of first r, * ch of 1 ds, 5
p sep by 1 ds, 1 ds, join to center p of next r. Repeat from * across. Tie and
cut. Sew edging to handkerchief.
