Tatting Patterns - Cross Bookmark
Materials: Number 30 crochet cotton of any color would be
suitable. You will need a tatting shuttle and, if your tatting shuttle does not
have a hook you will need a size 10 steel crochet hook for joining picots.

To make a twisted cord and tassel: Cut five
10-inch strips of thread, pull all 5 strips through center p of top ch. Now,
with equal lengths of thread at each side of p, twist threads together tightly.
Bring ends together and allow twisted threads to wind around each other. Be
careful not to let threads become untwisted. Tie a knot about 1 inch from end
and trim evenly.
