Victorian Craft Projects - Elegant Collages
Reminiscent of the Victorian era, these lovely old-fashioned collages are at
home with country surroundings as well.
Materials: Piece of fabric or printed paper to cover background. (size desired); various
colored ribbons; paper lace doilies; floral appliqués; antique greeting cards
and or decoupage cutouts; glue; picture frame.
Instructions:
1. Select a fabric or printed paper for your background.
2. Arrange pieces of ribbon and lace on top of the background.
3. Add and arrange paper doilies, floral appliqués, antique greeting cards,
or decoupage cutouts.
4. When you have achieved the design you desire, glue all pieces in place
with clear-drying glue. Cover each collage with glass and allow glued pieces to
dry completely.
5. Frame your art piece as desired.
