Christmas Craft Project - Holiday Shoes
Material:
Pair of white sneakers; Fabric paints in red and green; round gold jingle bells size
3/4"; Holiday shoelaces or 60" of 3/8" holiday print ribbon;
Dressmaker’s carbon (optional); Pencil; Founder’s No-Fray (if using ribbon
for laces); 1 1/2 yds. of red sequin strips or bric-a-brac; Fabric or
jewel glue.
Instructions:
1. Transfer leaf design (below) to sneakers with dressmaker’s carbon,
or free hand design with a pencil. Freehand 3 small berries between leaves.
You may enlarge or shrink designs depending on shoe size.
2. Trace designs with red and green paint, printing
"JINGLE" on the right shoe and "BELLS!" on the left. Allow
paint to dry.
3. Glue sequin trim along the topstitching on top and heel
of each sneaker.
4. Cut ribbon in half for laces or use holiday shoelaces. Thread 3 jingle bells onto center of each.
Lace up each shoe with ribbon, keeping bells at center bottom of lacing. Tie
ribbon ends into bows and trim streamers. Apply No-Fray to ribbon ends.
