Christmas Craft Project - Holiday Wall Hanging

You may use any color combinations you choose to complete this project.
What you need: 12" x 18" royal blue felt; 2" x 4"
hot pink felt; 2 yds. silver braid; 1/2 yd. silver cord; 13" (1/4")
wooden dowel; 12" x 18" piece of waxed paper; 60" strand 2mm
pearls; 1 pkg. 4 mm pearls; 12 hot pink spoke sequins; diamond dust; flat white
plastic branch; white glue; toothpick.
1. Along one of the 12-inch sides, fold down 1 1/2 inches and glue, making
sure to leave enough room to slide the dowel in. Turn the felt over to glue the
silver braid along all four edges. Spread a thin line of white glue just inside
the braid. Place the strand of pearls on this line. Yo will have some pearls
left over to use later. Let it dry.
2. Cover the branch with a thin layer of glue and sprinkle diamond dust on
it. While this is drying, cut the pink felt into the shape of a simple planter,
with a bottom of 2 inches and a top of 4 inches. Glue a 4-inch piece of silver
braid at the top.
3. Now the branch is ready to work with again. Spread a thin layer of glue on
the back of the branch and position it in the center of the blue felt. To secure
the branch to the felt, place the wax paper over the branch and set a heavy book
on it for a few minutes.
4. Remove the book and wax paper to start decorating your tree. With a
toothpick, put glue on the back of the sequins and place at random. Then, glue a
4 mm pearl in the center of each spoke sequin and the 2 mm pearls in the center
of the smaller sequins.
5. Now that your planter is dry, glue it at the base of the tree. Put the
dowel in the slot at the top. Tie one end of the cord to either end of the dowel
for hanging.
