Holiday Jar Lids
Christmas Craft Project - Holiday Jar Lids
What you need: Jars for preserving (with center of lid and outer ring separate); any lead free enamel paint (holiday colors); medium and small size holiday fabric yo-yo's (available at craft supply stores); needle and thread; narrow, pre-gathered eyelet trim.
1. Paint ring of jar with any lead-free enamel paint.
2. Cut circle of fabric to size of complete jar lid, allowing an extra 1/2" all around.
3. Sew narrow pre-gathered eyelet around circle to cover raw edge of fabric.
4. Center medium and small yo-yo's on circle, taking a few stitches through all layers to hold.
5. Place over ring of jar and screw ring on top.
