Christmas Craft Project - Fabric Greetings
Materials: 1/4 yard of print fabric for each letter except "h" and "y"; 1/2 yard of print for "h" and "y"; 1/4 yard of print fabric for 5 holly leaves; 1/3 yard of print for 2 stars; polyester fiberfill (for stuffing); plastic curtain rings (for hanging). greetings for "Noel", "Cheers" and "Merry:Calico greetings are cheerful and popular both in your home as well as your Christmas bazaar. Stitch and stuff the individual letters you will be using for your seasonal message. Tack together with stitching the letters you have chosen in the order which spells the message. Trim with stars or holly. Instructions: 1. Enlarge the patterns below and trace them onto the wrong side of folded fabric. Stitch around the outlines but not inside the "o" or the "e." Leave 3 inches open for turning. 2. Cut out letters 1/4" from stitch line; clip curves and turn. For "o" and "e", cut 1/4" from center hole, clip curves, and turn. 3. Stuff letters, leaves, and stars; slip-stitch openings closed. 4. For berries, cut round shape, fold edges under 1/4", and sew with basting stitch. Put a tiny bit of stuffing in the center of the circle and draw up sewing thread, making a ball. Tie off thread. 5. Pin letters together into words, overlapping edges. Tack together at overlaps. Add holly, berries, and stars, as desired. finish with curtain rings sewn to the back for hanging.
