Christmas Crochet Pattern - Wine Bottle Cover

Materials: 1-8 oz., 4-ply skein of Canon Christmas Glitter yarn in red, 1 or 2 ounces of white. Crochet hook size I - 9. Gauge: 4 double crochets = 1".

Pattern: Bottom - Chain 4, slip stitch to make ring.

Rnd 1: Ch 3 (counts as 1 dc) , 8 dc's in ring. (9dc)

Rnd 2. Ch 1, 2 sc in each dc around (18 sc), sl st to join.

Rnd 3: Ch 3, dc in same st as ch 3, dc in next st, (2 dc in next st, 1 dc in nest st) repeat around, join, ch 3.

Rnd 4: Dc in same ch 3 st, *dc in next dc, 2 dc in next dc*, repeat from * around, join, ch 3.

Rnd 5: Dc in each dc around (in back loop only).

Rnd 6: -20: Ch 3, dc in each st around.

Rnd 21: Decrease round - Chain 3, dc in next dc, * skip 1 dc, dc in next 2 dc* repeat from * around. Finish off.

Hat: With white, chain 46. Join with sl st to make round.

Rnd 1: Ch 3, dc in each chain around, join with sl st.

Rnd 2: Sc in each stitch around, join and finish off.

Rnd 3: With red, ch 3, dc in next dc, *skip 1 dc, dc in next 2 dc* (dec made), join with sl st.

Rnd 4-5: Repeat rn 3.

Rnd 6-8: Ch 3, dc in each dc around, join with sl st.

Rnd 9: Ch 3, dc in next dc, * skip 1 dc, dc in next 2 dc*, repeat from * around.

Rnd 10 & 11: Chain 3, dc in each stitch around.

Rnd 12: Ch 3, * skip 1 dc, dc in next dc* repeat from * around, join with slip stitch.

Rnd 13: Repeat round 11, taper off and finish off.

Make a pom-pom in white and attach to tip of hat.
